Stephen Oran Harlan arrived last Saturday morning at 2:14 am after a short active labor. We called Diana and Anna to come just after midnight, my water broke at 12:30 as Diana pulled up, and I went from 6 to complete between about 2:00 and 2:10, so our prayers were completely answered for a short and safe labor. He’s perfect! We are amazed that we have a little boy and the girls absolutely adore him! Stephen is named after the first Christian martyr in the Bible, and Oran is Nate’s middle name (a family name). Nate finally got to name a son! He’s thrilled! Stevie is laid back, and his “practice smiles” are so adorable, I can’t wait to see the real thing! Thank you for all of you that prayed for us during this past year with all of it’s turmoil and craziness. God is good! We are so thankful for all of our blessings, especially Stephen!
